Short Answer Type Questions
1.
Do you think good communicators are
good leaders? Justify.

communicators are able influence and motivate people to follow their

Hence they are good leaders.
2.

of communication cycle.
Ans.
3.
Explain the role of decoding in the
communication cycle.
Ans. In the communication cycle, decoding is the crucial
process where the receiver interprets and understands the message sent by the
sender. It involves translating the encoded message (symbols, words, etc.) into
thoughts and meanings within the receiver's context. Effective decoding is
essential for successful communication, ensuring the receiver grasps the
intended message
4.
Differentiate between encoding and
decoding.
Ans. Encoding is the conversion of information (like a
message) into a different format, often for storage, transmission, or security,
while decoding is the reverse process of converting that encoded data back to
its original format.
Long Answer type Questions.
1.
Enlist any five factors that should
be kept in mind during the process of communication.
Ans. The following are the five factors that should be kept

to the receiver.
Purpose: The
framing of message and mode of the communication hugely depend on the purpose
of the message.
Message: The type
of information to be communicated is an important factor to be kept in mind.
Cost: The cost
of communication is also important as the mode of communication is generally
decided according to the cost of it.

Environment: The environment and situation in which
communication occurs can significantly impact its effectiveness.
Encoding:
A properly encoded message can be understood clearly whereas a message which is
not encoded correctly can create ambiguity.
Delivery of Message:
The way message is delivered can impact the effectiveness of the communication.
A well delivered message using different modes of communication can make it

3.
According to you, which is the most
important component of communication cycle and why?
Ans. According
to me, sender is the most important component of communication cycle because it
is the one who has the idea/message to be conveyed. The sender also encode the
message using suitable code and then transmit the message to the receiver. The
sender also gets feedback and decides whether the message was interpreted well
by the receiver or not. The sender is also responsible for making the
communication effective.
